When I’m feeling those summer withdrawals, I crave smoothies. I’m not the kind of nutrition student that goes nuts about smoothies and juice cleanses. Smoothies are good after a long workout or a hot day. Other than that, i prefer a black iced coffee (all months of the year, not joking). There are soooo many things you can add to a smoothie, which I guess is one of the reasons why people like them so much. However, me being me, makes the same smoothie every single time.
As you know, the blender can make or break the smoothie. It’s all about the blender. And I happen to have a very good one, like it could probably blend rocks into a pureed consistency. It is certainly worth the investment if you are a smoothie fan!

Pineapple Mango Smoothie
- 1/4 of frozen mangos (TJ’s)
- 1/4 of frozen pineapple tidits (TJ’s)
- ~ either Coconut Water or **NEW TJ’s MAPLE WATER (it is SO good)
- 1 tsp of flax oil
*** You’re probably curious about the flax oil— it’s a great source of omega 3 fatty acids and dietary fiber, which basically concludes that is good for your digestive system. Not going to get into the nasty details, but that little teaspoon makes a whole lotta difference!
